We may also use consented analytics and advertising technologies to create audiences, measure campaigns and show relevant advertising on third-party platforms, including retargeting advertising. We do not require you to agree to marketing as a condition of submitting a general property enquiry.
You may unsubscribe through any marketing message, change your cookie choices through the website's cookie settings, or contact legal@theluxuryworld.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.

We share only information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose. A recipient that determines its own purposes and means of processing will be a separate controller and should provide its own privacy information.
7. International transfers
TLW is based in Mauritius and works with international buyers, developers and service providers. Your information may therefore be accessed, stored or processed in Mauritius, the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, the United States or other countries.
Where required, we use lawful transfer mechanisms and appropriate safeguards, which may include adequacy decisions, contractual protections, security measures and due-diligence arrangements. You may contact us for more information about safeguards relevant to a particular transfer.
8. Data retention
| Record type | Typical retention approach |
|---|---|
| General enquiries that do not progress | Normally up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact. |
| Active property enquiries and introductions | For the duration of the enquiry and normally up to 6 years after the last substantive interaction, where needed for records, disputes or legal claims. |
| Marketing records and consent history | Until you unsubscribe or object, plus a limited suppression record so we can respect your choice. |
| Cookie and consent records | For the duration stated in the Cookie Policy and as needed to evidence consent choices. |
| Technical, security and server logs | Normally between 30 days and 24 months, depending on purpose and provider settings. |
| Legal, tax and corporate records | For the period required by applicable law or reasonably needed for legal claims. |
These are general retention periods. We may retain information for longer where required by law, where a dispute or investigation is reasonably anticipated, or where deletion would interfere with the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. We may also anonymise information so that it can no longer identify you.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorised access or disclosure. Measures may include access controls, secure hosting, encryption in transit, backups, malware and spam protection, supplier controls and staff confidentiality requirements.
No internet service can be completely secure. You are responsible for using secure devices and communications and for avoiding the submission of unnecessary sensitive information.

- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- request erasure where there is no longer a lawful reason to retain the information;
